Harrisons Bird Bread Mix - Millet & Flax
Bird Bread is an organic baking mix primarily designed for birds. But it is suitable for rats. So now you have a ready mix that allows you to bake for your ratties. If it's their birthday, you can spoil them with a little home made, fresh, sugar-free cake. All you need to do is add an egg, some oil and some water, and then pop it in the oven. You can split the mix in two and half the recipe, or make it all and freeze the rest of the cakes.
How to:
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
Pour the contents of bag into medium mixing bowl.
Add the 2 eggs (remove yolk for less fat), 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) quality organic vegetable oil, and 1 cup (235 ml) water.
Mix thoroughly and pour into greased bread pan or mini muffin tins .
Bake for 25-30 minutes or less if small muffins. Keep an eye on them!.
